Charter of Values

To be a member of this Club, one must commit — to oneself and to the group — to:

Make common sense choices, considering the long-term survival (capacity to handle unexpected events) of as many people, animals, plants, and the environment as possible — without forgetting the spiritual aspect.

Respect the two golden rules:
– Try not to do to others what you wouldn’t want others to do to you
– Try to treat others as you would like others to treat you

Examples:

– Keep one’s ego in check
– Seek solutions and behaviors that bring the group together
– Avoid divisive topics (such as vaccinations, gender, religion, political propaganda), and instead work together to find shared solutions across different viewpoints
– Do not use the Club for personal gain; only propose solutions that benefit the whole group (always ask for approval)
– Communicate well, balancing listening and speaking
– Be active in the group to help achieve its purpose
– Practice fair exchange: give and receive appropriately in all activities
– Live truthfully and ethically; do nothing illegal
– Be active in life, be trustworthy, fulfill your commitments, and respect others
– Observe carefully, learn useful information, apply it, and grow in competence
– Face life’s challenges and communications with courage and clarity
– Communicate and behave in ways that others can easily understand and accept
– Avoid blindly following ideologies — observe and decide case by case
– Stay present and informed, avoiding assumptions and preconceptions
– Distinguish truth from falsehood; look for sources and verify them: seek truth
– Be motivated by a sense of duty or personal conviction

Let me know if you have other examples to add. Thank you.
