THE “CLUB OF COMMON SENSE” PRESENTS THE NEW “COMMON SENSE” CATEGORY AT THE NAPLES SONG FESTIVAL

Florida, March 21, 2025 –

The Festival of Neapolitan Song (see 2023 Festival) is introducing a new category called “Common Sense”, an initiative by the Club of Common Sense aimed at spreading the true meaning of this word through music. The goal is to inspire artists and audiences alike to take actions that improve everyone’s lives, respect the environment, and uplift the spiritual dimension of humanity.

Here’s the definition and source of inspiration behind it:

“To judge or take an action that leads to greater survival, meaning an improved lifestyle and abundance, for the greatest number of people, plants, animals, and the environment in general — while not forgetting the spiritual side of mankind.
A Common Sense action is simple and made to last over time.”

Music has the power to share deep and positive messages with many people — and today, the world needs Common Sense more than ever. Artists can continue writing love songs, just like always, but also include a few tracks that promote responsibility, awareness, peace, honest communication, humility, tolerance, and the greater good… that’s what we call “complete” Common Sense.

How to participate:
Everyone is welcome — lyricists, singer-songwriters, musicians, and bands can enter for free by sending their song and lyrics via WhatsApp. All languages and dialects are accepted.
Participation is free, but anonymous donations to the Club are always appreciated. (www.Buonsenso.club)

Songs will be selected based on the quality of the message and their ability to express the values of Common Sense.

Ten songs will be selected to be featured during the live events.

Songs that used Artificial Intelligence in their creation are also welcome, but participants must clearly state which part of the work was AI-assisted. No one will know how much AI was used until the end of the festival — to avoid influencing opinions.

We’ll also launch a YouTube channel showcasing all the songs that pass the first round of selection.
